Dr. Youssef Tahiri earned his medical degree from McGill University in Montreal — Canada’s most prestigious medical schools — before completing his plastic surgery residency there and earning a Master’s degree in Experimental Surgery with honors.
He went on to complete a fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania, the #1 ranked children’s hospital in the country, where he developed a specialized focus on complex craniofacial and reconstructive surgery.

After completing his Craniofacial Surgery training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania’s Hospitals, Dr. Tahiri joined the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Indiana University. He routinely performed complex reconstructive, aesthetic and complex craniofacial procedures at the Riley Hospital for Children as well as Methodist Hospital and Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis.

Dr Tahiri is great. Great surgeon. Great guy. He made me feel at ease, encouraged questions and dialogue, but most of all performed incredibly.

An amazing surgeon, after about six microtia surgeries that did not result the way I wanted them to, I decided to go for the medpor, it was a scary decision to make because I was afraid that it would turn out just like the rest of my previous surgeries but what happened was that I got an ear that I am happy to show off to everyone, and I find it great that he was able to work off of the damage from my previous surgeries and still make it look so nice, I can finally pull my hair into ponytails without feeling insecure and its all thanks to Dr. Tahiri
