After many appointments with various specialists, we were so relieved to finally meet Dr. Tahiri. From our very first consultation, the difference was clear. He took his time to thoroughly explain the procedure, ensuring we understood every step. His friendly demeanor immediately put us at ease during a stressful time.
Dr. Tahiri did an incredible job setting realistic expectations for both the pre-op preparation and the post-op recovery, which meant there were no surprises. From start to finish we have been SO impressed with Dr. Tahiri. We first met him for a free consultation where you could immediately tell how passionate he is about helping kids with Microtia. His bed side manner, the care he has for each of his patients, and his quick response with any questions you have is truly unmatched. In a time where you are trusting someone with your child, I couldn’t recommend anyone more. Even during surgery we knew Wyatt was in the best of hands. His attention to detail also helped us remove a precancerous mole at the same time as surgery. Forever grateful for Dr. Tahiri.

The results of our procedure truly look incredible. Even after the surgery is complete, we feel fully supported and know Dr. Tahiri is still there for us whenever we need him. We cannot recommend him highly enough. Anyone would be lucky to have him and his team on their side.

Dr. Tahiri is an Angel! We regretfully put our daughter through 3 surgeries with rib graft and her ear didn’t even look like an ear. We went to a very reputable doctor and hospital because we wanted to be driving distance from home. Our daughter was distraught and we felt like we were losing her. Dr. Tahiri graciously met with us zia zoom and assured us that he can make her a beautiful ear. After a long battle with insurance ( Dr. Tahiri’s staff are an incredible help!), we finally got approved.
Day of surgery was very calm and relaxed. Our daughter was welcomed with a cozy blanket, squishmellow, and cute decor in her room. This put her at ease and she was excited for the outcome. Dr. Tahiri came out smiling with pictures of his beautiful work. Recovery was a breeze and we flew home the next day to celebrate Thanksgiving.
Post op visits are fun and easy. So many awesome places to visit in the area!

Please don’t make the same mistake we did. We’ll never forgive ourselves, so we hope our experience help other innocent children. The trip is well worth it.

Dr. Tahiri and his staff have been a huge blessing for our family by helping our daughter build an new outer ear. The details in his approach, along with the explanations to questions we had are top notch and put us at ease. During post op appointments, the support and accommodations from his team due to us living out of state are greatly appreciated. You are in good hands with this team.

Our daughter was born in 2006 with Goldenhar Syndrome. We were unsure if she would be able to hear and were nervous about the surgery options we were given. Her doctors we’re talking to us about a rib graft surgery and that seemed like it was a lot of pain for an ear that may not look as good as the one she was born with.

After years of searching we found Dr. Tahiri. Years of praying had paid off. We scheduled her first surgery in 2019. Our daughter now had an ear she could be proud of. When Dr. Tahiri showed us her ear for the first time I was amazed and so excited for her.

Now six years later in 2025 she is a young adult and wants to wear sunglasses. Dr. Tahiri was confident he would be able to build up the back of her ear to give her enough space to be able to wear glasses. Because she has Goldenhar her skull is a little malformed. Let me just say it looks amazing! It is still healing and I can’t wait for her six months of healing to pass so we can see her in her new sunglasses. 🕶️

The best experience possible. Every time I see Dr. Tahiri, I always think when I grow up (I am older than him 😂 ) I want to be just like him. He is changing peoples lives everyday. What a blessing he is. The first time he gave my daughter an ear I said “You gave my daughter an ear! I couldn’t do that.” My favorite part of my daughter’s ear is that Dr. Tahiri was able to keep part of her ear she was born with to make an earlobe. I think that was so special. She was able to have part of her original ear with the addition of her new ear.

Dr. Tahiri is an amazing surgeon! Our son underwent left ear reconstruction with OSIA placement 3 weeks ago, and while recovery is still ongoing, we are already very pleased with the surgical outcome. Our first interaction with Dr. Tahiri was through a virtual consultation, he took the time to explain the entire process, all available options and patiently answered the questions we had. We later met him at the Microtia conference, and once again he was very patient and went over the details again, something that meant a lot to us as parents making such an important decision for our child. Throughout the entire process, we were in close contact with Paola, who made this journey really smooth. Dr. Tahiri’s team even worked with our insurance to become in-network. Overall, we are incredibly grateful that we found Dr. Tahiri and trusted him with our child’s care. Highly recommended!

We struggled with making the decision of my son having surgery but Dr Tahiri made us feel so comfortable. Answering all questions along the way! It felt just right! We are so glad we didn’t wait a minute longer! I’m not going to lie, the day of surgery was very hard. All was forgotten when my son said “thank you mommy for my big ear, I can’t wait to see it!” We are only 2 week out from surgery but I feel like my 4 year old son grew 6 feet with the confidence he now has!

We are very happy with the surgery performed by Dr. Tahiri. He was incredibly helpful and even coordinated with Dr. Nazarian, who treated our son’s eardrum perforation during the same procedure. The ear is healing nicely and looking better every day. We didn’t experience any complications. The atmosphere was always pleasant, and the doctor was always ready to answer all our questions. Additionally, the communication was excellent before the surgery, during recovery, and afterward. In most cases, we received answers to our questions within just a few hours. In this regard, Dr. Tahiri and his team are a true model to follow.

To provide a balanced review, there are two areas that could be improved:

The Pre-Op Experience: We were told our son wouldn’t remember being taken from us to the operating room. Unfortunately, either the sedative dose was too low or he was taken back before it took effect, because he still mentions how traumatic that moment was for him. It would have helped to have 5–10 minutes of privacy after the medication was administered—without nurses and doctors bustling around—so he could calm down and fall asleep.

Scheduling: The post-op appointment schedule changed very frequently, which was a bit frustrating. This was especially difficult with the final visit, which we had specifically asked not to be moved due to our flights home. The change caused quite a bit of stress for us.

Overall, the entire process—from the initial paperwork through the surgery, recovery, and follow-up—was excellent. I highly recommend Dr. Tahiri. The results so far are great, though we are still waiting for the final outcome.

Dr. Yousef Tahiri is an excellent and highly skilled doctor. Every visit was a unique and reassuring experience, where we felt supported and cared for from start to finish. Dr. Tahiri and his team gave us the confidence and peace of mind we truly needed.

What sets him apart is that he continues to stay in contact with us even after our return to our home country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reflecting his high level of responsibility, dedication, and genuine care for his patients.

I would like to add that my sister had previously undergone two ear surgeries, but they were unsuccessful, which caused her great frustration and sadness over not having a natural-looking ear. When we had the opportunity to look for an outstanding doctor, we found Dr. Tahiri. After seeing his results on Instagram, we were extremely excited to travel and meet him.

Indeed, he exceeded our expectations. He performed my sister’s surgery smoothly and easily, praise be to God. Due to scars and marks from the previous unsuccessful surgeries — which involved cartilage taken from the ribs — Dr. Tahiri explained very clearly that a second procedure is optional to improve appearance and hide the scars. Nevertheless, her ear now looks beautiful even without the second surgery, but she chose to have it to further enhance the appearance and conceal the scars located behind the ear.

My sister is currently in the recovery period, around three months in, and already the ear’s shape is clearly visible with some details starting to appear. With time, it will become even more beautiful.

What made the experience even more special is that Dr. Tahiri gave her a gift she had wished for — an earring — which truly delighted her.

The results so far are wonderful, and I am confident that after the second procedure, the outcome will be even more beautiful, God willing. My family and I are extremely grateful to him and his team, proud of him, and we will never forget him. We always pray for him and his family’s continued success and well-being.
